Shara’s light orb was casting an eerie blue glare on the walls. “Not exactly a walk in the field is it?” Shara said cheerfully as she helped pull Violet out of the chilly pool of water. Violet’s fur was soaking wet and her teeth were chattering when Shara turned around. “Oh, sorry” she said. The encounter with the hooded cat was the only event which got them any closer to the whereabouts of Mawn. “They know who we are and what we’re after so we will have to be careful from now on,” said Shara “If we see another one then we will have to take it hostage and interrogate it” Violet was walking with her head slumped, Shara noticed and went closer to her. “What’s wrong?” she said softly. “I miss him” Violet said, barely containing her misery. Sky of Fire - Chapter 3The search party was a fair distance into the wood when they heard a loud snap. Shara turned abruptly and all the members quickly became tense listening for more sounds while scanning the blackness for the source of the interruption. “Over there!” Calhorn, the goat, whispered. He pointed to a barely discernable shape moving through the trees; it didn’t seem to know where it was going so the group assumed it was not hostile, nevertheless the party fanned out and closed in on the figure. “Violet?! Sky of Fire - Chapter 2Violet sprinted towards the village gates. Just before she was across the threshold she was tripped by a stout stick and was sent sprawling to the ground. She was about to continue running when a stern voice spoke in her ear. “Where do you think your going?” Violet turned around to see the gatekeeper hare standing over her with a stick pointing between her eyes. “Mawn is missing! I have to go find him!” she said furiously, quickly losing patience with the stern hare.
